Promis Recovery Centre

The PROMIS Recovery Centre is a large Victorian house with its coach house, set in three acres of grounds with landscaped gardens and trees surrounded by the rolling farmland and woodland of the North Downs of Kent. The setting offers the peace and tranquility in which to effect successful recovery. It has the capacity to house 44 patients on an in-patient basis, we also have several halfway houses in the nearby village for day/out patient care so the patient can start to adjust to everyday living.

Information On Betel:-

In 1985, eleven years before opening in Britain, Betel (Spanish for Bethel) received its first destitute men and women off the streets of Madrid. Since that time some 65,000 homeless, substance abusers and socially disadvantaged have been helped throughout Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, France, Asia, Mexico, USA, Russia, Greece, Bulgaria and the UK. Betel residences host more than 1,300 recovering men and women in 50 cities.

Betel of Britain is a caring, not-for-profit Christian community in the heart of the UK dedicated to restoring homeless and substance-dependent people to productive, independent lifestyles. Our residences are drug- and alcohol-free as well as free of charge. We offer at all times the opportunity of restoration to all persons who seek help.

Betel opened its first British base outside Birmingham in 1996 at Windmill House, owned by the Bournville Village Trust. Additional residences followed, and we’ve now opened our second UK centre at Manna Farm, near Nottingham.
